Senior AI Engineer, Gaurdsix

Location: Copenhagen. On-site full-time.

As a Senior Software Engineer within our AI team, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models and systems that solve complex business challenges. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate AI research into scalable, production-ready solutions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work on everything from LLM-based, ML or other AI techniques, ensuring our AI initiatives deliver measurable impact.

About the team

We are looking to join our AI Team, known as the Growth Catalyst Team, a fast-moving AI unit focused on delivering customer-facing AI features. The team owns the full lifecycle: identifying customer problems, crafting rapid solutions, and bringing them to market in six-month delivery cycles. Structured for speed and innovation, the group operates with exploratory cycles and a strong commercial lens, continually adapting to market opportunities every half-year.

The team is cross‑functional, bringing together product management skills, UX design, and diverse AI, data science, and engineering competencies. The team is focused on customer‑driven discovery, rapid delivery, and the development of AI- and LLM‑centric capabilities through close cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Generative AI solutions, including LLM and SLM fine-tuning and optimisation.

• Build retrieval pipelines using vector databases and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, SciPy, or PyTorch).

• Collaborate with engineering teams and integrate AI into existing products.

• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI systems in production.

• Stay current with AI trends and recommend innovative approaches.

Competencies / Requirements

Expected Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering or data science

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks like SciPy, PyTorch or other data science/machine learning libraries

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, context engineering, and fine-tuning techniques

• Experienced with building Agentic AI to enable LLM to solve concrete problems

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with deploying SLMs in customer environments, balancing compute needs with other essential services, including optimising the throughput of the SLM

• Familiarity with ethical AI principles and bias mitigation

• Exposure to cybersecurity or Security Operations-related AI applications
