Engineering Manager

We are now hiring an Engineering Manager for our Platform Engineering Team at our HQ in Islands Brygge.

The Platform Engineering team is an essential part of our technology foundation, focused on empowering engineers by creating self-service infrastructure and tooling "paved roads" that make the right path the easy path. You'll be leading a team at the intersection of infrastructure and developer experience, driving our cloud architecture, Kubernetes operations, observability, and CI/CD.

What you'll be doing

You'll be leading our Platform Engineering team. A team of curious tinkerers who love getting their hands dirty with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and networking rabbit holes.

Leading and growing the team:

• Foster a culture where collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning thrive

• Coach and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, constructive feedback, and creating space for professional growth

• Build an inclusive environment where people feel trusted to do what they do best

• Balance empowering autonomy with maintaining best practices across the platform

Staying technical (because you can't help yourself):

• Collaborate and drive in the ideation and implementation of technical solutions—you're hands-on enough to understand the implications and dive in when needed

• Guide the transformation of our telecom infrastructure to cloud-native patterns

• Champion observability, reliability, and automation across the stack

• Help the team navigate trade-offs between pragmatic delivery and long-term scalability

Partnering and planning:

• Work closely with other engineering leaders and Product to align on priorities and ensure the platform enables product delivery

• Facilitate effective planning and delivery, keeping stakeholders informed without drowning them in details

• Support the team in balancing short-term needs with long-term platform evolution

What you bring

The technical foundation:

• 3+ years leading software/platform engineering teams in cloud-native environments

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud providers like AWS, and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible)

• Understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, and observability (we use Prometheus, Grafana, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions)

• Background in building scalable, highly available systems

• Experience with scripting/automation (Node.js, Bash, Go, Python—whatever gets the job done)

• Bonus: Networking concepts, protocols, and/or telecom experience (if BGP, VPNs, or routing makes you genuinely curious, we want to talk)

Location:

• Based in Copenhagen (you must be based here currently, within a commutable distance of Islands Brygge)
