This is a unique opportunity to take full accountability for Skatteguiden’s legal activities – serving as the driving force and lead across all legal domains.
You will become the go-to person for all legal matters, a central sparring partner for the management team, and will have the opportunity to deliver significant business impact.
Role Overview
Here is an overview of your role areas and responsibilities:
Corporate Legal
Responsible for contract management – review new contracts to ensure alignment with the company’s interests and legal standards
Support corporate governance tasks for the CEO and CFO
Product & Business Legal Partner
Act as a sparring partner for the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Product Managers on new products, verticals, and business opportunities in personal finance
Assess the legal and regulatory implications of new initiatives
HR Legal
Draft and review employment contracts
Handle terminations, redundancies, and other employment law matters
Advise on holiday rules and other HR legal issues
In-House Legal
Review and negotiate contracts with partners and suppliers
Manage intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, etc.)
Provide legal support to management across functions
General Compliance
Ensure marketing material and campaigns comply with applicable laws and marketing regulations
Collaboration with the Head of Security & Privacy and the DPO to define and maintain Skatteguiden’s compliance framework.
Your Experience
Minimum 4+ years of post-graduate experience from either:
An in-house legal role at a tech or scale-up company with a focus on contracts, HR, and commercial law, and/or
A law firm with a focus on corporate law or corporate affairs
Ability to work independently, assess risk, and prioritise across business needs
Hold a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Cand.jur., Cand.merc.jur., or equivalent
Fluency in both Danish and English
Your Profile
Solid foundation in corporate law, contract law, employment law, and marketing/advertising law
Ability to balance compliance with commercial pragmatism
Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to translate legal complexity into business decisions
Comfortable acting as the company’s sole legal advisor
Strong communication skills and experience managing external lawyers
Adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment, capable of handling a mix of strategic projects and day-to-day tasks – a startup mindset is strongly preferred
